The more boys I meet, the more I love my dog

Cat and I decided to meet up for a dinner date with our pups in tow. We picked Lazy Dog Cafe since Cat loves it and I've been meaning to try it ever since my mom raved about her dinner there. They have a really great patio area with a fire bit, adirondack chairs, really pretty flowers, and is puppy friendly. Gotta love it!

The Pups:

Tallulah (take one)

Tallulah (take two)

Sadie

Starla

The pups together were a total hoot. Sadie is a bit anti-social, Starla is a crazy playful pup, and Tallulah is a teeny tiny curious thing. Starla, a 3 month old pitbull, thought Tallulah was her personal playtoy and while they both totally wanted to play with each other, Starla didn't know her own strength. We had to watch them carefully and keep Starla in puppy lockdown (aka tied close to Cat's chair) half of the time. Sadie and Tallulah got along swimmingly. By the end of the night, Sadie was even playing with on of Lu's toys and sniffing her.. umm.. face?
The one blurry photo of all three dogs.

Once the dogs were all introduced, Cat and I got to sit down to quite the lovely dinner. We caught the tail end of Happy Hour and got a decent deal on our drinks. Definitely need to go back for that menu. $5 personal pizzas! Yum!

Champagne Mojito - very light and yummy, but did not taste like champagne or a mojito

Roasted Garlic Lamb Shank with mashed potatoes, garlic-thyme gravy, and confetti veggies - the lamb was fall off the bone tender, but the flavor was just ehh.

Walnut Chicken Salad Sandwich with dried cranberries, red onion, lettuce, tomato, and celery in a light curry mayonnaise with french fries- my one little bite was pretty tasty!

Apple Cobbler with Vanilla Bean ice cream - loving the fact that is was baked and served in this dish and the perfectly spiced apples, but the crumble was a bit too sweet and cookie like for me.

Chicken breast and hamburger meat for the pups. Love that they get their own menu!

Tallulah LOVED her first taste of real "people food." She better not get used to it -- no fat puppies in this house! :)

We sat outside while the sun set and got to catch up on our jobs, boys, roomies, and everything else in between. I definitely recommend Lazy Dog Cafe for those with and without pets. The menu is pretty big and has a lot of interesting variety to choose from. We were there for almost three hours and never felt rushed to finish up and they are so considerate of the dogs. Have to love a place that has a doggie menu and $5 Champagne Mojitos. Such a good evening!

Little clip of the pups playing. Forgive my high pitched voice and the head turning clip. Couldn't figure out how to fix it!
